5 Highlights from our Holiday Near Home

With travelling abroad harder than usual, we embraced the opportunity to enjoy some of the natural beauty near home.
Here are our top 5 highlights from our trip to Kent and Sussex.

1. Elmley Nature Reserve
Elmley Nature Reserve has been on the top of my travel bucket list for so long. A family run farm with a long-term vision to restore nature and a commitment to the sustainability of the landscape and land. We were so lucky to manage to get a spot in the farmhouse, unfortunately all the cabins were fully booked but just another reason to go back there.
The perfect place to unwind and enjoy the natural wildlife the reserve had to offer.

2. Dungeness
The next day we drove to Dungeness, known as Britain’s only Desert. It was incredible to see the expanses of shingle and the wide variety of plants thriving here as well as the incredible architecture and sculptural scrap pieces of metal.

3. Seven Sisters Cliff
The white chalky Seven Sisters Cliff should be up there on the top places to visit in the UK. Although I have a fear of heights, the climb up was worth it for these amazing views. These pictures do not do it justice.

4. Tillingham Wines
After a quick stop in the village Rye, we drove to the English vineyard, Tillingham
Wines. I first came across them when I bought a bottle of their rosé for the packaging. I’m a big fan of the branding and designs on the bottles. We only stopped off for a glass of wine but will definitely be booking a stay some time soon.

5. Workshop Living
The final stop of our trip, Brighton. As we had a few hours before our car rental booking was over we managed to squeeze in a trip to Brighton. Which meant that we could finally go to visit one of our first stockists, Workshop Living.

A beautiful curation of minimally designed slow living household objects. A calming space which I could spend hours admiring each piece, I wanted one of everything.
